Exploring Cricut & More Christmas in July blog hop!

Welcome to the Exploring Cricut & More Christmas in July blog hop! Be sure to check out all the Design Team projects and be sure to enter the challenge for a chance to win great prizes!

Here is the line up just in case you get lost-
Christi      www.tidbitsoftexas.com
Liz            http://unikbyyes.blogspot.com/
Tina          www.thescrappinrabbit.blogspot.com

And here is my project-

This is a super easy card to mass produce! Or it would be if I found a different red for the script. Here is what I used:
  1. QCD Holly Paper for background-it's double sided so both layers are from the one paper. I punched the bottom edge with Fiskars Holly border punch.
  2. Used Anna Griffiths Winter Wonderland Cartridge for the sentiment. Matte Gold for shadow of script.
  3. Red pearl vellum for script-gorgeous on the gold, a bear to attach correctly because it's SO flimsy!
  4. Dark green cardstock and green foil cardstock for holly.
  5. The red/gold trim is a scrap.
Thanks for joining the hop, and if you leave a comment you will be entered to win blog candy, shown here-

And if I reach over 100 followers, I'll add three 6" x 6" paper pads to the above!

You're next stop on the schedule is Christi Thank you for looking!

Wonderful Wednesday

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday! Did you know you can enter the challenges at Exploring Cricut & More with items you've die cut with your Cuttlebug? Well, you can-and here is my project-

This was made with a Sizzix die called "Garden Trellis" out of silver Wausau Shimmer Paper. I overlayed it over a beautiful blue foil paper (Colorbok-WalMart!) and added Ocean Blue stickles in the lattice junctions. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and stamped with black Versafine ink, then used a Spellbinders Oval die to cut it out. After adhering the sentiment, I alternated big pearls from Recollections & Prima blue roses around the edge.

This was given to my niece Anna from my Mom, and she has since put it into a shadow box to keep forever. Whoever thinks that handmade cards aren't cherished are just plain wrong!

Thanks for stopping by!

BBTB2 Dog Days of Summer Project

Over at BBTB2 the challenge is to make a card, layout, or project using a Cricut cut of a dog. Here is my card-

This was done all with Paper Pups! I cut the dog @ 1", the Sun @ 2", and the word bubble at 1 1/2". The background paper is from the DCWV Pet Stack, and scraps from my stash. The stamps I've had forever, and I don't know who made them.

I know my dogs love to lay in the sun and dream, even if it's 104 degrees like today-gimme my air conditioning instead!

Thank you for looking, and I'm entering this in the following challenge(s):

Exploring Cricut & More Challenge-use at least 2 die cuts

This week the challenge at Exploring Cricut and More is to make a project with at least two die cuts-and you can use your Cricuts, Cuttlebug, Silhouette, Cameo, etc for your projects! Here is mine-

I saw this paper (Pebbles Americana) at a local craft store and knew I wanted my July calendar to be patriotic. The bottle rocket and sparkler were made with Summer Celebrations, and both were cut at 5". The banner was from Celebrations cut at 3"-I just love the stars on the top layer! J*U*L*Y was cut with Chalkboard Fonts at 1 1/2". I tied the blue/white American Crafts twine onto the banner-easy peasy! Red chalkboard marker completes the calendar.

Check out the Design Team projects and join our challenge!

Wonderful Wednesday!

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday at Exploring Cricut & More! Here is my tray project for July-

This was made with Formal Occasion! It has several scenes towards the back of the booklet, so check it out. The background is a dark teal glitter paper (unknown), the blue, red and brown is from Recollections, green glitter paper is Colorbok and the off white is from American Crafts. The cloud was cut from Artiste, and stamped with a Technique Tuesday sentiment in Martha Stewart Dusk Blue ink.

I wish I was there! Thanks for looking.
