Die Cut Diva's in the Garden Challenge this month

For the month of April Die Cut Diva's theme is In the Garden. You could win two Hero Arts stamp sets, so make something and enter!

This is a card I made in memory of my Mom. I found a whole bunch of papers in her crafts room and I'm going to make cards or scrapbook layouts out of them.

Here is a list of items I used-
  1. Die Cuts-SVG files (sentiment, flowers) from Hero Arts (DT105 Sunshine Flowers).
  2. Paper-Daisy D's Treasure Patchwork (background, sentiment, mat, ecru flower), teal and red flowers out of my scrap stash.
  3. Button-out of Mom's button bin.
Thank you for visiting.

FCCB and Mother's Day

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #250 - Celebrate Mom-create a card or project for Mom

This Weeks Sponsor
digiplayground.com

There will be 3 winners of $7 gift certificates!

Create a project inspired by Mother's Day

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Here is my project-

For all these projects I used digiplayground.com files, but I used my Cricut cartridges also! Shhhh, don't tell my mother-in-law that all this is her Mother's Day gift! So let's get started left to right-
  1. The top box is the 3D 1 x 1 Ink Storage. This handy little organizational tool holds 12 of the Ranger mini ink squares, which I have filled with the first three sets.
  2. The bottom box is the 3D Large Ink Storage. This holds 4 colored ink pads from Stampin' Up, Close to my Heart, and others. Neat, huh?
  3. The card is from Thinking of You Tri-Shutter card file, and I used black cardstock, pink DCWV shimmer paper, white rose paper, Spellbinders Mbossabilities Rose folder, Cricut Mother's Day 2010 cartridge, and unknown white patterned paper. I substituted sentiments, remember you don't have to use everything in a file. Instead of the rose on the front, I can put any Cricut image there also!
  4. The box on the far right is the 3D Organisational Box 2. This Desk Organizer box is perfect for holding multiple items, including 6x6 paper pads! The box has three large compartments and two drawers. The finished project measures approximately 6-3/4" x 6-1/2" x 3-3/4". All of the boxes used black cardstock, Recollections Damask, and roses from the Picturesque cartridge. I used DCWV Shimmer pink and green for the roses.
I hope you try some of these projects-they are so easy to make! The hardest part is picking out the paper!

Hero Arts Yellow Daisies

Here is a fun card I made using Hero Arts Stamps and dies-

Really simple design! Here is a list of materials:
  1. Hero Arts Hello Sunshine (CL776), Hero Arts Daisy Cuts dies (DI097), Die-Namics Pierced Squares, Banner dies.
  2. Paper-yellow and grey stripe-Michaels Recollections, white cardstock-Neenah, grey cardstock-Michaels, grey stripe and yellow dot out of my scrap stash.
  3. Versafine Onyx ink, Versamark watermark ink.
  4. Yellow enamel dots from my stash (unknown manuf.).
  5. Hampton Arts yellow embossing powder.
I tried several times to photograph this card and I kept getting a greenish tint instead of the true yellow the flowers are. But it is a bright and cheery card!

Thanks for visiting!
