Die Cut Diva's and Dies R Us!

Hello! Today is the last day of the month at Die Cut Diva's, and here is the card I made with a "New to me" technique, Pop Up Cards! There are a lot of Pop up dies from Elizabeth Crafts Designs (and other companies) at our wonderful sponsor's store-

Here is my card-

Here is a list of materials:
  1. Front: Studio Calico Wanderlust heart paper, Colorbok LOVE stickers.
  2. Inside: Paper-same heart paper as front, white Neenah cardstock, DCWV red cardstock.
  3. Image: Love Bug at Kitty Bee Designs. Colored with Copics.
  4. Dies: Elizabeth Craft Designs Lucy Label Pop Up Die, Spellbinders Labels Nine.
  5. Brads: Colorbok pink heart brads.
  6. Sentiments: Computer generated "You're my love bug", Cricut Artfully Sent collection "Happy Valentines Day".
This was actually pretty easy to put together, and all centered around the "Love" and "Love Bug" themes. The ECD die is pretty awesome! I added the Spellbinders die cuts so that I could have a place to leave a message.

Thank you for visiting!

Die Cut Diva's Something New Challenge spotlight

Today is my spotlight day at Die Cut Diva's! Our sponsor this month is-

They are giving away a $15 gift certificate, so make something with a new die, new technique, new color, etc. You can't win if you don't enter!

Here is my card-

I was intimidated by this die set when I first got it (many months ago!) and decided to test drive this new die. I love the cut out "closing nubs" that keep the card closed until it's time to look inside! The next card has the "spiral" attachment (see below). The instructions are very clear, and there are tutorials on youtube.com that show you what to do. I'm so glad I tried this die set, and I'll be using it a lot.

Here is a list of materials:
  1. Die: Elizabeth Craft Designs Spiral Pull die (flower die is included, along with leaf, heart, balloons, snowflakes), Elizabeth Craft Designs Owl (Poppy)(but you could use this ECD Owl), My Favorite Things Pierced Circles (or use these Memory Box Circle dies).
  2. Paper: Neenah white cardstock, unknown flower/teal cardstock.
  3. Pearls: Michaels Recollections.
  4. Stamp: Unity Stamp Co. (Going to be Owl-right).
  5. Washi tape: unknown.
Now for the spiral attachment card-

I also used Elizabeth Crafts Designs Roses, Cricut Artiste sentiment, and the hearts come in the Spiral Card kit (along with balloons, snowflakes, and leaves). The paper was from American Crafts Dear Lizzy collection, the sentiment on the front is Unity Stamp Co. and the inside sentiment was cut with my Cricut Artiste cartridge.

So here is my project-

Here are the products I used for this card-
  1. LeCrystelle Heart tri-fold card (New).
  2. Spellbinders Lace Hearts (New die cuts by fellow DT member)(You could also use the Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts set).
  3. Tropical Blooms 3D embossing folder by Cuttlebug (New).

I got Cuttlebug embossing folders and Cuttlebug Dies on sale during Christmas break for $1.99 each, plus free shipping! I got 15 different items, so you'll be seeing a lot of NEW looks on my cards. The sentiment collection was part of the Artfully sent CTMH package and I had forgotten I even had it, first time I used it. I did cut off the top of the heart above the banner so I could see the sentiment on the large heart.

Here is my project-

Don't you just love sales? I got the embossing folder (part of a 4 pack) from the Cricut store for $1.99 during the Christmas break! And I got 14 other items for the same price. Here is a list of materials I used:
