Tool Time

We would like to say Thank You at Die Cut Diva's to our great sponsor-

and our theme of Masculine/Men/Boys inspired this project-

I know so many people through autocrossing, racing, and classic cars that I can't help but be drawn to tools. This is perfect for so many of the guys (and girls) I know! I'm going to make a ton of cards with this set, and I'm gonna try for a Christmas one soon.

Here are the following dies and products I used-

Frantic Stamper
     Pegboard, Sm. Hand Tools
Paper Smooches
Birthday Words (but these would work as well)
Paper: kraft, unknown patterned paper
Unknown brads

Bendi Card

This month at Die Cut Diva's is our great sponsor is-

and our theme is Masculine/Men/Boys!

Here is my project-

This is the first Bendi card I've ever made, and I followed a tutorial out of a British magazine called Cardmaking & Papercrafting. I had to change a few things to suit my taste, but it's definitely a guy card. Here are the materials I used to make this card-
  1. Dies: truck (Impression Obsession), clouds (Impression Obsession), grass (Frantic Stamper), hills (Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builders, or these), banner (My Favorite Things), trees, sun (Cricut).
  2. Paper: solid greens, sky (Michaels), big dotted, striped cardstock (Coordination Brights), trees, clouds, truck, clouds (scrap stash).
  3. Stamp: sentiment (Stampendous Birthday Assortment).
I love the way it sets up and doesn't fall down, and I put the white backing on so I can write a note to the recipient.

Trucks at Dies R Us!

Welcome to September, and our sponsor this month at Die Cut Diva's is-

and our theme is Masculine/Men/Boys!

Here is my project-

My husband is a gear head. Which means a lot of our friends are gear heads, so an old truck on a birthday card is pretty cool to them. They LOVE the riveted metal look. In fact I made 50 car cards for a gal who wanted plenty of guy cards. I asked her how long she thought the cards would last, and she guessed maybe 2 years! Whew!

Here are the materials I used:
  1.  Dies: truck (Frantic Stamper, Bob's Truck), sentiment (Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Border Die).
  2.  Paper: gold, silver (Tim Holtz Kraft-Core metallic collection 6 x 6; black, light teal, teal cardstock.
  3. Embossing Folder: Riveted Metal (Tim Holtz Sizzix Texture Fades).

Here is my project:

I just love this image from Bugaboo Stamps! I like the fact that I can put anything in the text box and make it fit any school related activity. Here are the materials I used in this card-
  1. Image: Deacon School Sign It (Bugaboo Stamps), colored with Prismacolor pencils.
  2. Cricut Cut: pencil (Simply Charmed), scrap stash cardstock.
  3. Stamp: sentiment (School Time, Papertrey Ink).
  4. Paper: patterned paper (Echo Park-Paper & Glue Back to School).
  5. Die: zigzag border die (Tim Holtz Stitched Dies Rectangles).
It's real easy to use your Cricut to add great elements to your digital images-give it a try!

With Sympathy

Welcome to September, and our sponsor at Die Cut Diva's is-

and our theme is Masculine/Men/Boys!

Here is my project-

I had to whip up a quick card for my husband, who needed a card for a co-worker who had just lost his mom. So I went with black and gold (very masculine colors), and didn't make it too complicated.

Here are the materials I used:
  1. Dies: sentiment (Cottage Cuts-but these would work as well),  flowers (Tim Holtz Mixed Media 2, or you could use these.)
  2. Paper: gold kraft cardstock (Tim Holtz Alterations Metallic Kraft Core), black cardstock.
Thank you for visiting.
